Default Another Moab Trip

My wife and I decided to make a last minute trip down to Moab for a few days earlier this week to run some trails before it gets too hot.

We ran Elephant Hill, Flat Iron Mesa, Hell's Revenge, Fins & Things, and rounded out the trip with an easy drive out to Tower Arch in Arches NP.

Didn't take as many pictures as normal but here are a few highlights:

Plenty of flowers on the trail this time of year:

Unfortunately so. I'm not really concerned about wheeling alone on these trails, it's not like you're too far away from civilization and there seems to be plenty of traffic on the trails. We also take all of our tools, a few spare parts, a CB and HAM radio for emergencies, and always tell someone where we're going so I feel comfortable enough.

Maybe one day my friends won't suck and realize how fun Jeeping is!

Default Going Solo

Next time you head down I'll tag along. Don't know too many people in the SLC area who have capable jeeps and are willing to hit the trails. I was just down there this weekend solo with the wifey.

Cool pics! Weather is great this time of year down there.

Sounds like a plan! Think you'd be up for a trip to AF canyon (Forest Lake, Mineral Basin) once it opens hopefully next monthish?

AF Canyon is close and it has some great trails. I have always enjoyed the camping there as well.

I attempted a trail (mainly large boulders) when I was up there solo, but had to turn around as I was worried about being stuck... alone... solo... Having another jeep around with a winch might give me the "steel courage." Don't know the name of the trail.

I'm game -
