Great pics, I can't wait to visit Moab again. Amazing what a 2-door with a 2.5 lift and some good tires can do.

I'd say maybe 4 hours. We didn't get hung up on any obstacles but took an hour or so for lunch near the end and the wife spent awhile taking pictures of flowers on the trail

Excellent trail though, probably my favorite of the trip. It'll probably be pretty hot by mid next month so take plenty of water!

I live at the mouth of AF Canyon and am game anytime as well. There will be snow up there for a long time this summer.

Sounds like you were on the Forest Lake trail (Did you cross the river at the start?) or at the Rock Garden section of Mineral Basin.

I attempted a trail (mainly large boulders) when I was up there solo, but had to turn around as I was worried about being stuck... alone... solo... Having another jeep around with a winch might give me the "steel courage." Don't know the name of the trail.

I'm game -

I love going up there. There will be snow for awhile, there is 8 feet at tibble fork right now. So it'll be awhile.

So, i lied. we went up there today and there really wasn't any snow. we were told by the forest service last week at a meeting that they still had 8 ft. there. I ask the ranger booth when they are going to open up the road above tibble fork and she said memorial day. i sure hope that is right.

Awesome, we should set up a local run to kick off the season! Though I bet due to memorial day it'll be packed.
