Just picked up my 2008 Wrangler Unlimited Sahara Black/Black tops, Dual tops, MyGig, Side Airbags (baby on the way and lately I have been accident prone) Auto Trans (so the wife can drive it only in extreme emergencies) Remote Start.

Never been off roading want to try and some basic trails just to get the feel for things. The only place I know of is Rausch Creek which is like 3 hours away (planning a trip there with 2 friends and there jeeps and 3 friends who will be riding shotty and spotting sometime late june.

Just wondering if there is anywhere closer to me that I can do some light offroadin just to play around and get used to things. I know I can get the beach permits etc...but wondering if there is anything else.
