Big Bear: 4th of July / John Bull & Deep Creek (+ 2 Front flips)
Trail Report
Trails:
Big Bear: John Bull, White Mountain, & Dishpan Springs (aka Deep Creek)
Date:
Saturday, the Fourth of July, 2009
Attendees:
SoCal_JK_2dr (Ty, Lisa & the boys) Black 2-dr “X” modified
UCLA JK Rida’ (Russ D.) Green 2-dr “X” modified
marty_z (Marty & daughter Amanda) Red 2-dr “Rubi” modified
Notes & Photos:
We met at the Big Bear Discovery Center at 8:00 am. Since we were such a small group, we were able to leave by 8:10 am. From the D.C., we headed to Van Dusen Canyon Road where the asphalt meets dirt; there we aired down, and then I proceeded to “dust” my trail compadres for several miles until reaching the John Bull trailhead.
We didn’t really get too many photos while on the trail, since we were moving at such a good pace (and surprisingly, there was NO TRAIL TRAFFIC – at all!) Russ got a few photos also, but here we have many from the swimming hole.
The snake that was spotted along the trail on John Bull (this little guy was pointed out by a 4 ½ year old while sitting in the back of a 2-door and moving along the trail).
The group that ran John Bull:
marty_z & daughter Amanda
Ty’s rig
The “Tumbler”
A deer that was spotted in the forest along 3N16:

Sorry,
Ty...
P.S. I've sent a PM to a mod to re-title the thread. My bad.

It's not always about the Jeepin' and the Journey . . . but sometimes about the Destination.
The swimming was the best part of the day; and very refreshing!
