Awesome trip. Hot as hell, but we shot Black Gap Road, the cooler kept the beer cold, and we saw lots of wildlife.

I want to go back to Big Bend so bad. My son and I are national park nuts, having been to 41 of the 58 (the real national parks, not things people call national parks that really aren't). Big Bend is my number two favorite--I love the solitude (which means that Yellowstone, Yosemite, Grand Canyon rank in the middle of the pack--I detest the Disneyland version of national parks)--and I love the unfenced, wide-open expanses (when you throw in Big Bend Ranch State Park, especially). And I love that dark, dark night sky. Enjoyed your pic's--Makes me want to get back there that much more!

 

I have been thinking of taking a trip out that way for some time now and your pics have certainly reminded me of why I need to get out there again. Thanks for the shots
