At least in Austin it does! I always try to pack cans for backcountry expeditions. There are no rules about it in Big Bend, to my knowledge, but bottles break, glass is sharp, and cans pack down better.

Now if they didn't offer Shiner in cans I might have to rethink this rule...

Just happened to find Big Bend Ranch State Park and Big Bend National Park when I was searching for places to go to. Thought I'd search here to see who might've already gone there and WOW! Those are some nice pictures . Did you have to pass Border Patrol to go into Mexico? I may have to stay off of that track OR end up having to apply for a VISA first

That definitely is one of the places I'd like to go in the near future. Mark, if you plan on going - let me know

You know that I'm retired. Let's plan a trip. And, yes, Big Bend Ranch State Park is also awesome. Between the two, there are nearly a million unfenced acres to play in. here are some pic's from the last time Curtis and I headed down that way ...

when we move back to Texas, we have to make a trip out there. It has been a long time since I went out to Big Bend, didn't have a Jeep then or even a license.
