Ahh ok. I misread. Thought he said the same guy has broken an axle shaft all three times.

But I would still stand by not locking the front axle unless you really need it. Its typically the single biggest cause to snapping a front axle joint.

Sounds like a plan. Just to be on the safe side I did buy a SBS today.

I am ready to go back out. Of course after a few new purchases. However, I think it will be less expensive if you simply saw a priest about that "curse."

Great pics guys! It's never good to hear that someone broke but it's nice to see that everyone came together to help also that someone had our EVO SBS shifter/plug..

That plug was passed down to me from Eddie (I still need to give it back), It has been in my axle twice and now it's in Jeff's. I really need to get one of my own!

Never a good thing to have to put it use, especially on your first time out. But good to have someone with it and even better to have that someone pull an axle shaft and plug it like he was part of a pit-crew. The help from the other guys winching and pulling me the rest of the way through was much appreciated as well.

although unfortunate for Jeff, it was a great adventure. The 3 x's all got to put their winches to use and it was more of a challenge to figure out how to pull a 4 dr up the trail then to just drive it
