Default Bronco Peak 3/13/10

So a few of us decided to hit Bronco Peak yesterday. It was CA JK (Andy), Vaughtra (Ryan) Jeff (JMorgan) and me. Planned to be a nice afternoon run and then go home. We knew it was not an easy trail but it got a lot harder when the Rubi broke it's axel (yes the 3 X's didn't break anything) This is the third time wheeling with Andy where an axel broke.

In all fairness, Jeff (JMorgan) had never been wheeling on the rocks. I think for this being his first time, the trail difficulty, and driving a stick, he did great!
The breakage was weird and I a still blown away that it actually happened where it did.
I had a great time and can’t wait to get back out there with all of you guys again.

Once again, I appreciate you all easing me into the wheeling available out here. Learned a lot from yesterday. Hopefully enough to stay out of trouble
Now for a new axle shaft and I will be ready to try this again. I think this also puts a new front bumper and winch on the short list of next purchases.

Let me know when you get your new axle, I'll make the trip over to your place and help you install it. You might want to check the for sale forum, there's quite a few axles availible cheaper than buying a new one.

We all live and learn from our mistakes, but sounds like you'll be good to go in your next run.

Perhaps after 2 axle breaks, he should leave the front axle unlocked

Great picts!
