Canadians Head South (rubicon etc)
7 western Canada rigs headed down to nor-cal to do the rubicon and a few other trails over the past couple weeks. Much thanks to WOL and WOLFETTE for taking us through the trails and showing us an awesome time. Great meeting all the other American forum members as you made the trip unforgettable for all of us. I think after this trip we were all considering moving down to cali! The trails, views and people were amazing!
Here are just some highlights of our pictures, I'm sure WOL will put together a thread with all the pics he took as well. Enjoy!
Cool helicopter we found on the drive down:
Oregon Sand Dunes:
Loaded up and ready to go with project-JK and "long beach crawler" (my jeep seems so small):
The group at the Granite Bowl:
Shortly after the carnage begins.....GeeBee's body damage from sliding into a rock
Rubicon_Fan's u-joint goes:
After that it was smooth sailing on the rubicon:
geebee stuffed:
getting a bit sideways:
07rubisteve:
and his wheel carnage that happened as he came down that rock:
showin off the underside:
Shed and geebee thought it would be a good idea to go through a mudpit with no doors on....this is how that turned out:
Brainchild's "LBC" making everything look easy!
tight squeeze:
geebee's new line up the tree!
group shot at the end of the rubicon:

Well it's obvious that Eddie was a good host to you guys and represented us South of the borderers very well. I'm glad you all could make it down to enjoy the 'con and head home with some reminders of your visit, either mentally or carnagely. Thanks for the pics. -CK

after the rubicon we took a couple days off to recover and a couple of our rigs headed for home. the 4 of us left continued wheeling with WOL and did slickrock, deer valley, and twin peaks trails. here are some highlights of those trails:
another u-joint blows at the beginning of slickrock (07rubisteve)
with that fixed and us becoming pros on replacing ujoints we continued on:
beautiful camping:
awesome campfire fueled by a tree stump full of red ants:
from there we headed to deer valley:
more awesome camping up at lost lakes:
geebee
07rubisteve:
myself:
brainchild:
and last but not least a couple shots from genoa peak/twin peaks:
lookin down at the jeeps:
group shot:
and thats it for my shots, i'm sure there will be a few more from others too add up here. It was an awesome trip and we hope to make the journey again soon!
