I really wish there was a place to go that wasn't the river, it's fun and all but that sand and salt there kind of destroys everything.
Cool. Well, next week ain't that far away. Plus, maybe some of this rain will let up. I'm about ready to take the doors and top off and maybe put on the bikini top. Now, I know what you mean about the sand, but salt? Didn't know river water had salt.

You're not at OU student, are you? My son goes to OU (yes, and my money--at least that part that doesn't go towards the Jeep!).

Nah, I go to rose state. Maybe the year after next I'll go to OU, I'm trying to take the classes that will transfer at an easier and cheaper school.

And interceptor, I already have my doors off, it's been awsome besides the rain. I just kept the top on, seems to keep me dry enough.

Well, I only live about three miles east of RSC. If you're ever up this way looking for someone to go to lunch with, or you just want to get together and compare Jeeps, give me a ring. I'm in the phone directory as M Doiron.

Or me! I haven't had my doors and top on in two weeks, and just picked up a safari top yesterday and put it on last night. LOL!

Wow, I thought I was the only one!!! I've had mine off for the last two weeks too, it's interesting in the rain, I keep a towel in my console to wipe off the inside of the windshield . Except I've had my top on until yesterday, but I had all of the windows out.

What type of safari top did you go with Mark? I picked up a Rugged Ridge Safari top about a month and a half back - yet to put it on.

See, I wouldn't mind joining the club too and be able to drive around without the doors on in the rain, but what worries me the most is that I didn't want the console and electronics getting wet and frying something. That, and the fact that I only have a 3 mile drive to work and then the JK sits there for the next 9 hours or so and another 3 mile drive home, if it rains real hard, i'll end up with a soggy seat, carpets and dash. Has anyone had any issues with rainwater getting into the dash and ruining anything?

I got the Mopar Sunbonnet for softtop owners. Except for the worst, blowing rain, it provides ample protection for the dash electronics (a concern of mine, too). Last year I got caught in a real gully washer when going to pick up a trailer of canoes for a Boy Scout campout. Everyone thought I was nuts, in full rain gear, with the (ATT) Mopar Sunbonnet for hardtop owners on, pulling a trailer full of canoes. LOL.

For while you're not driving: Get a Bestop Trail Cover. It covers the entire tub and passenger compartment, all the way down to the door sills. And, I recommend Red Ledge raingear. And a real hat: One with a full brim. Baseball caps suck in the rain.
