Default Finally ran John Bull!

Here's a little youtube video
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=31TbmlKdG0Q

I'll post more pics after I download the rest of them. It was a lot of fun and by far the most challenging run that I have ever done. I am anxious to run it again so please let me know if anyone plans on making this run anytime soon.

I remember there was one really tight right hand turn that climbed sharply at the same time. I'm curious as to how easily you were able to make the turn...?

Did you get the grip you needed from the A/Ts?

I had no issues with making the turn and the A/T's did just fine. I had a little more slippage but was able to make the entire trail without getting stuck, but I had a great spotter . That was key to getting through it. Picking the right line makes all the difference in the world.

Rock rails for sure!!! I would also recommend at least 33's. If you have the stock plastic jk bumpers they WILL be damaged. Don't do it alone. Be sure to bring along a buddy with a tow rope and or a winch.

Here ya go...
http://www.mapquest.com/maps?1c=Gilb...2c=Doble&2s=CA

Doble is really a ghost town now. It was a large gold mining town in the 1800s. The road to Gold Mountain and John bull is just past Doble and to the left.

I'd suggest getting Rick Russell's pocket maps for Big Bear and Arrowhead. Give yourself a looong weekend. Do John Bull, Gold Mountain, Holcomb Creek, Crab Flats. These can be done in that order from east to west. They're almost connected. Don't forget to bring your fishin' pole for Big Bear lake.

That's a great trail, isn't it? It's been my favorite so far.
