Post HOLY CROSS - if you love your Jeep DONT GO

Well I love mine but I had to go and concur this trail of course my friends in the four corners hate me right now but I would go again for you guys

In all seriousness.... If you plan on doing all the obstacles.. I suggest bringing a Truck, Trailer, Great Spotter, good mood, patients and a mechanic with some tools and parts

Just to get an Idea of my rig incase you don't know what my setup is:

6"LCG TERAFLEX LA Suspension

42"MTR/K aired down to 7PSI

ARB air Lockers

PSC Hydro Assist

Dynatrac front and rear 60s with comp shafts and CTMS

1350 Custom Shafts

-------

Was suppose to meet up with my crew at 730AM but unfortunately.. my rear passenger tire decided to take a nap and have a hole on the freakin inner side wall

with that in mind I had to make a quick stop to Discount tires to have them look at it and decide if it's a manufacture defect or if it's something i've done

long story short we were at the trail head at 11:45 and didn't get out until 7PM

Here are some pics

front truck is towing the Dodge one ton and the YJ. The rear Truck is towing the LJ. I was driving mine

Airing down at a beautiful view

LJ on 39" TSL SX tires Armored and ready to hit the trail (by far my favorite LJ )

I beleive here was our first challenge

Pics never show the real angles of those boulders.. but you can compare the dude to the boulder.. he's about 6.2' and yes those are 42" tires incase you forgot!!

^^^^ here we stopped for lunch

^^ thats at french creek.. I took the hardest line with no problems.. my bro needs to learn how to use an SLR camera

the last obstacle is called "Cleveland Rock".. people familiar with this trail will understand and know it's difficulty.. here is a description of this obstacle from trail damage

Many people turn around here, because the next obstacle is extreme. You could easily walk from Holy Cross City to the overlook above Hunky Dory Lake, and you may want to do this unless you have a buggy. Cleveland Rock is just past the city, after a few rocky sections. It is big and there is no bypass. The line on the right is full of holes to tip you over, and the line on the left is steep and slick. There is often water and mud at the bottom and in the middle to keep your tires wet and slick. Many vehicles (even buggies) will find it impossible to continue up this obstacle without winching.
because of the stress on this final obstacle.. no one was filming or taking pics!! we couldn't turn around as there were some vehicles behind us trying to get up and (I) was left with one option.. which was to follow.. the YJ in front of me almost flipped over.. the LJ made it but was struggling and was in a very tippy spot.... the YJ had to winch up.. luckily for me and after 30 minutes talking about it and getting my jeep lined up for it I made it to the top... well it doesn't end there.. you see you have to turn around and come back down all of those obstacles... and it gets worse as everyone is tired and it's getting dark and cold..

here is a pic I found on the internet of Cleveland Rock

Again you can avoid some parts but not all.. IMO I don't think it's worth going if your just going to watch or take the bypasses

anyways here is my damage list

bent Tie rod (needs to be replaced)
PSC Clamp (needs to be replaced)
Track bar is broken don't even ask!! (needs to be replaced)
Diff covers front and rear ( those guys took a beating today
sliders (some spray paint will take care of it)
left front control arm went loose (took care of it on the trail)
all lower control arms need spray.. like really bad
Colorado Pin pinstriping all over the sides and Hardtop
Rear Bumper damage

those are my two favorite pics

Awesome pictures, how did you get that effect on your camera in the last 2 pictures, I just got a Canon 30D and would love to know how to do that, along with what all of the other buttons do on this thing
