Awesome...
And I think I can answer Absolut's question, It looks to me like those are HDR pics. Requires post processing on a computer with something like Photomatix or Photoshop CS4. Your gonna love that 30D, I have been using one for a year and a half. Good Camera. Sorry for hijackin' a lttle.
I really enjoyed reading this thread. We tried to summit Holy Cross last year but were unable to because the snow pack was so deep. I made this video at that time,...

But the title of your thread made me think,... WHY NOT love your Jeep ENOUGH to take it on Holy Cross, or any trail?
It's like leaving your Lab in the truck, watching with the windows barely cracked so he can also hear the Mallards flying into your decoys, hear and see the shotguns taking them down, and then witnessing the travesty of you leaving the ducks in the water to float away because you can't get to them.
Drive to Colorado and stay off the trails you know you want and need to conquer?
Have a heart! You can't deprive it of what it was made to do, man! Let's GO!!!

If you want to tackle all the obstacles ( which is really why I went) and have a really good spotter and a built rig then it's a fun trail... if non of that apply then your more then likely to have some damage somewhere.. even if it's cosmetic.. me personally I don't care about the undercarriage and I don't have skids.. but even with 42" tires I didn't clear many things.. yes I took the most difficult lines except for Cleveland rock and that's because of how high my jeep is.. but I did trash my track bar/tierod... scraped the hell out of my diffs and got a pretty sweet dent on the rear bumper.
If you were to take easier routs then go for it... but IMO it's not worth it.. I would go somewhere where its the same level as some of the bypasses!
can a stock rubi do it? yes it takes some serious balls and a lot more scraping and winch to go through it all
parts of this trail is almost like doing independence with little lift.. you can go through it but you will get damage you will be winched! if you don't care then go ahead
me personally wouldn't tackle anything beyond my limits ( I would push them but not to far) I dont have a tow rig.. and most of the people on that trail had tow rigs parked out side!
I would close that window on that lab in this case

I used iPhoto
and changed the lightning and some effects
So what rear bumper do you have??? The Rock Hard on my TJ has had the CRAP beat out of it and it has BARELY had the powdercoat scraped off... I am very shocked that your rear bumper dented (unless its the stock crapper that DC puts on there).
