Hungry Valley 02/17/08 - Socal
I've sen that cement stair case in magazines for more than a decade (back when 33's were considered radical. I loved the chance to get my Jeep there (CJ). I was surprised that my front tires actually climbed straight up the vertical side and planted it on the top - no tires off the ground. I thought I was king!
By the way, I did have a little trouble getting through the big rock hill - the rocks kept rolling around and my anchor (rear Dana 60) kept hanging up. At least I didn't lose an axle like my buddy.
Great place to end the day after Lockwood/Miller.
Thanks for the pics and reminding me I have to get my new Jeep out on the trails and leave my CJ memories behind.

Just went out to Hungry Valley yesterday. Did some nice hill runs that were freakin me out. Nose went up a little on one ascent. Wicked! Picture to come when I decide to develop them.
Where was the mud...?! coulndt find it!

The Video is up!!!
Check it out.
And conrad,
The mud's location was a little complicating to navigate to. You just have to follow people that knew how to get there. There's a shot of the mud scene, and me displacing the tire off the rim.
