Would have been sweet if the Range Rover got a little cocky and flipped. He's up there alright...

Quick Question = Why are the rear wheels of the RR and the VW not on the floor? Does that have to do with the sway bars? or the frame's flex ability?

Real nice flex they have there, especially the Toureg & Range Rover

In actuality, both the vehicles are very good offroad, they are just not built for rock crawling, so a ton of flex is not needed. The biggest problem is it appears they are both stock, so they are really more for on raod than off at that point, but can be built up some. Did either of them go through the rock field or up the hill? I woudl expect they should have been able to handle those for the most part.

They don't have the articulation that a Jeep does. Jeeps are designed to do all sorts of off roading, including rock crawling so they have the flex and articulation built in. Range Rovers are more for the country road type off roading, with the occasional rough stuff and climbs. In this it's awesome, but will not handle large rocks very well, at least not without modifications.
