Just got back from Moab
We ran a couple of trails in Moab on Friday--Fins & Things and Hell's Revenge. I don't own a JK (yet...) so we rented one and beat the crap out of it for a day. I don't have very many pictures on my camera since I was driving most of the time, but my dad has more on his that I'll take a look at tomorrow.
Overall reactions:
--That was the first time I had ever driven a Jeep with lockers. Man, they work great. While other guys were bouncing off the rev limiter and burning rubber the whole way up, I didn't even slip a tire.
--First time driving a two-door (we took a four-door through Canyonlands in August). The shorter wheelbase and better breakover angle really helped in a lot of situations. The only damage incurred was a bent tailpipe on Rubble Trouble.
--Soft top > hardtop, if the weather permits.
--I freaking love Jeeps.
--I'm going to retire to Moab.
This was probably the steepest climb I've ever attempted. The first attempt I hesitated a little, but I made it right up on the second try.

Towards the beginning of Hell's Revenge.

A Cherokee getting winched out of Escalator. We bypassed this one.

More pics and maybe some video later.
