I love MOAB. I was there last year and yes they rent our red rubicons. Infact they are ALL red.

Here's a quick video of my trip to Moab last year....I went with Volkswagen and 10 Touaregs. Touaregs are cool. We're wheeling with sealed interior, leather, dual zone climate control, wood grain....you know, luxury offroading.

But Jeeps are 10 times more fun

We were in Moab a little over a week ago with my Son's family and my daughter and her husband. My daughter and her husband drove their Mini from Indiana to Moab. We all stayed at the Archway Inn on the north edge of town. They have a package deal if you stay 3 nights, you can rent a Rubi for a day and it includes a nice dinner for 2 at the Sunset Grill up on the hill. It is a great deal. It was something like $399 total. When you get the Jeep from Cliff Hanger Jeep Rentals (in the motel lobby) they give you a list of the places you can not go with the Jeep. They will tell you why if you ask. It isn't a bad list as most places are allowed. They give you the option of buying insurance for the Jeep at $50 for the day.

I am heading there the second week of June for the first time; I sure wish I had a MOAB vet to guide me, but it should be a lot of fun regardless...

I am going with my wife, 16 year old son and his girlfriend, and my 19 month old... I will have to play it safe when the little one is with us; but I am planning a couple of days with my 16 year old to tackle the tougher trails. Now I just need to finish the JK prep and make the 1500 mile journey.

Anyone else from here going to be out there at the same time?

My 17-year old son and I plan to head out that way June 2. We'll be there about a week and a half to two weeks. Primary purpose is to visit the national parks in the area, but we want to explore a couple trails as well. We're both rather newbie at four wheeling, but we did visit Moab last year and take the Gemini Bridges Trail. I'd also like to take some of the White Rim Trail in Canyonlands NP. Maybe we could hook up for that?

Here's my son on Gemini Bridges Trail:

I'm headed to Moab on the 16th for a week of wheeling. Leaving my Saharicon home and renting one of theirs though.
