Default K-Trail in Southeast Oklahoma

Ran the K-Trail in Southeast Oklahoma on President's Day weekend. Here's the video I put together (same one I linked to a while back in the Expedition Modded thread) ...

It was like listening to my grandfather telling old camping stories... And I mean that as a compliment, good naration and clip selection, makes me want to add this to my list of must-do trips!

Thanks, LOL. And I am a grandfather--six times over and one more yet in the hangar. :-)

Great video! I've been on the Talimena scenic Drive but not the Jeep trail. Love to do that but I don't think my stock 2012 Sport is set up for that kind of adventure.

A stock Jeep would do just fine (assuming conditions didn't get past whatever tires were on that Jeep--IOW, street tires on a rainy day would not be a good idea). But, there has been some trouble along this route recently. I know of two incidents where folks had damaged tires from spikes placed in a mud pit. The first group suffered 19 flat tires! The second group suffered additional ones, and went back and dug around until they found the spikes. It was a pretty nasty looking piece of metal buried deep in the mud with spikes poking up along its length (I've seen pics). It's always a good idea to have a buddy when you hit the trail, and especially so in a case like this.
