Man that's hilarious! I was at BFE last year for Memorial Day weekend and the same festival was going on. We crawled down some rocks to avoid the main gate and snuck in to check it out. It was different to say the least! I was in Moab this Memorial Day weekend too, but avoided the hippies

 

We didn't know that mini-Woodstock was going on there either. We ran Strike Ravine in and found five hippies smoking dope at the top of the hill that drops into the main BFE test areas.

The whole area smelled like patchouli oil, incense, marijuana and wet hippie.

They had all the roads blocked with vehicles (RV's, Volkswagon buses and Subaru hoopties mostly). We had to spot our way through the tents to get out.

I jumped out of my rig to scout a way through. The hippies all looked at me like I was the anti-Christ........ Jarhead haircut, Marine Corps sweatshirt, Kimber .45, Cold Steel fixed blade, driving a lifted H2 on 38's......... Yeah, the hippies love me.

 

Thanks for the pics. It looks like you had a lot of fun. Ah, such great times and wonderful memories. We go to Moab every year and I love looking at pictures from there. It makes me want to go again, and again, and........
