Looks like a blast. Wish I could have tagged along. I really like your siphon set up. I may try to make one myself.

Cheers!

I saw a few illegals running through the bushes. But they were more afraid of me than I was of them. They sure can run fast in this heat, I dont think I'd make it half a mile without dying. There are tons of border patrol around the area and most of them know my jeep by now. Plus a bright red jeep with stickers all over it isnt exactly the low key vehicle smugglers like to jack. If all goes wrong and I do come across bad dudes, I do carry some protection with me.

I always carry my 1911 .45 on my side. Plus I always have my AR-15 in the back seat with 6 mags loaded. Plus a tactical shotgun in the back, and I sometimes have my AK-47, another .45, a few .22's and my mauser. This trip I was only packing the .45 and the AR. I would never venture out into the wasteland without it.

Better to have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it

But for the record, I've never run across anyone that I fealt nervous about out here. Just having a gun on your hip does wonders for diplomacy

I like your attitude gt6star; I don't know if I'd dare have a gun on my hip even way out in the boonies in the people's republic where I'm from; anyone have any experience with that?

Yeah buddy, nothing like carrying enough weapons for a group of people when a person can only use one at a time. Do you like having more guns on you that you couldnt possibly protect in case you got rushed.
Example - group of guys come at you from all sides even if none of them are armed they will be once they reach the armory that is your rig. You should rethink what you are doing.

Thats why I said I usually have my .45 and my AR. The rest come along when I've got friends with me. Plus if a group of guys attacked me it wouldnt matter how many guns I have, theres no way I can fight off dozens of people with one gun any way. However in my decades of wandering the desert I have never come across such a situation. And yes, we go shooting a lot out in the desert, so bringing tons of firepower along is nice.
