Default Oregon Mountain Roads

They have been working in Oregon to limit the roads... For several years there have been closures but we have groups that are fighting them.

I used to be a firefighter for the feds and patrol these hills, the more roads the better to access, contain and control fires.... Anyone who thinks closing the roads is a good idea is mistaken.

Ever growing government is eclipsing all of our freedoms - but nobody seems to get upset! Thanks for posting this.

I noticed you live in Portland...I used to live on Mt. Park in L.O. and I would jump on I 205 then exit off the Hwy to Estacada and up the Clackamas... I would find some pretty good fire roads to do some wheeling on...especially when the snow hit... then get out with the .22 and .45 and light up some beverage cans... That was over 15 years ago. Now I'm in Eastern Oregon and have not been back up to those trails on the west side. Are they getting closed off too?

Had the very same argument with a dipshit from the USFS down in the Eldorado NF about how they closed a ton of roads. Question was how they were going to fight fires in the area once the roads overgrew in a few years.

If a road stops being used it is not very long and it begins to look like a rabbit hole. The trees seek the light and the road is where the light can penetrate the canopy.

Kind of think the USFS agreed with me but the envirotards had them by the nuts in a lawsuit.

So yeah doing my part to keep the roads open and maintained. Good luck with the fight.

Watch your tires as we are getting tards setting tire ripping chunks of metal and angle cut rebar in the road way.
