With all these stories, and no money in my wallet... Water is very scary.

If I had a few grand to my name... Water would seem like a great excuse for a hemi upgrade...

Sorry to hear about the hydrolocked engine. Find a new 6 cylinder, and try and take your block to the scrap yard for some $$$

You could probably get a new 3.8 from Burnsville offroad cheap. As many Hemi's as they are doing, he probably has them stacked up. Sucks about your jeep though. If they total it, can I have your trans case? JK.

Is the only option replacing the engine or can something else be done?

I am gonna take a guess and say that if you had not hit the water at 40mph, this thread would be a great story and great pics.

That water looks very crossable but not at mach speed.

Good luck.

Keep us posted as to what happens.

There was a post on here somewhere talking about the guy (burnsville offroad?) that is doing Hemi swaps and has alot of brand new used jk motors. I'd contact him for a used one.

That's a good point. Hydrolocking the engine doesn't mean the end of the engine. I know from first hand experience with an old pickup.
