Default water

water crossing at 40 MPH may look hella cool, but they are hella expensive...
In all the Jeep / 4x4 vids people do this all the time, in the real world, parts break.... water at that speed gets forced into seals, bearings, engines, etc, places it doesn't belong...

I limit all my water crossings to 5-10 MPH... I'd rather have to get pulled out than buy a new engine... :(

in other news; may I suggest a SEA-DOO for the next time you feel the need to 'hit the water'

I've had a 1993 GTX, 1996 GTX LTD, and a 1999 GTX LTD, and at the momment I'm saving my pennies for a 2008 RXT-X (255 HP)... should make water crossings a piece of cake!

In even more other news, as I sit on my couch w/my laptop:
WHY THE HELL DO PEOPLE DRIVE DOWN THE ROAD INFRONT OF MY HOUSE, when they don't live here?!

my neighborhood has a 'loop' and people drive the loop infront of my house for no apparent reason, its LONGER to get to the exit, AND has a stop sign (the other way does not)... WHY PEOPLE, WHY?! Cuz every time a car rolls by, my ADD goes 'HEY! LOOK AT THAT'!
seriously... this keeps me up at night; why do people go that way?! I'll draw a map and put a rant on my web site if I ever get the time (Between staring at cars)

Yes, the misuse of the skinny pedal has been known to lead to leaking wallets.

OK... so, what about when your driving down the street and the water is deep enough to spash back over the roof...?

It wasnt but 8-10 inches... but the water was shooting straight up...

I do still have the air damn under the front... i hope that was directing water away from the intake from the bottom side.

but now i am thinking i could have screwd up royally....

Sorry about your breakage.... but many of us are taking head.
hope you recover without too much pain in the wallet.

I sold my motor with 68 miles on it to Scoties Jeep Junk yard in Fontana CA. He is a hagler so work him if you need a motor.

Oh, the price for a 5.7L Hemi upgrade costs $18K..

B:

Who does the Hemi upgrade? Is it AEV? And is it available already? 18 Large seems kind of steep for a new engine...what does the conversion entail?
