Don't listen to those sissies... I did Black Bear last year in my 4 door JK last year with no issues. That trail is far less challenging than they make it out to be.

There are are a bunch of Jeep rental places that hand out JK X's like candy for people to do any and all of these trails in stock X's. My Dad did it last summer in a rental X.....you'll be fine. I did it in '06 with my '02 Grand Cherokee Limited on 265s with a 2" lift. Have fun it's really a great moderate ride and breath taking!!!!!

People have run it in a Hummer H1. Go on youtube and search out clips so you can see the trail for yourself, not that bad looking. I think the whole shelf road thing scares a lot of people.
