naw, the jeepers jamboree does the drunken orgy thing - this was the jeep jamboree usa leading this crazy group of europeans/aussie through. from what i hear, they charged $2500 per person too.

August 8,9, we were running the Whiplash trail in B.C. See the Western Canada thread for pictures.
wow, a flat fender and 30's actually, i could see how something small and narrow would be an advantage in a lot of spots though. i'm sure the trails up in your neck of the woods are just as fun

it is awesome for sure but.... i sure wouldn't want to be one of them. the trail leader told us they were expecting it to take 11 hours to get to rubicon springs - that's a long ass time to be on the con

Yeah, in fact I believe when they did the big inaugural JK run with all of the press people they did it over at least two days (maybe three?). I think they had like 30 stock Rubicons for that one though.

yeah, i was up in tahoe when they were doing the run and if i recall, they were just taking people down cadilac hill to rubicon springs. i don't think they even ran the whole trail.

Default Rubicon in 3 1/2 hours

My uncle claims to have done the whole rubicon in just 3 1/2 hours. That was some time back, and the trail is lot really the same now as it was then. There were sections that were like freeway, then.

Yes Uncle has been know to exagerate, but he also claims to have witnesses.

He has made it from Rubicon Springs to the Tahoe side staging area in 1 1/2 hours more recently. (He had to pick up the band and no doubt get more booze for the Dirty Dozen's Midnight run.)

I'm almost back. It's still bruised, but other wise it's good.
Thanks for asking.
Take care.
