Is there a way to flush out the clutch with fresh water, or is the clutch lost at this point. I ask because here in Florida it's hard to run trails where you don't cross some mud or water. Sucks you broke, I hope it doesn't cost to much.

Damn Jeep Dad that really sucks, there has to be another way to make those manual trans without sucking up mud so much

You take it to dealer yet? Wonder if its better to just take it to a trans shop

Man, sorry to hear about this Jeepin Dad. Hope your repair work wasn't too painful. I can imagine the dread to have to call home to your wife for a ride.

Good to ever-so-briefly meet you and Jay Are as we crossed paths. Here are some pics from our day

She actually took it a lot better than I was expecting her to. She has been more understanding than I probably deserve.

Harry,

I believe this is you comming through the woods.

Its about 800 bucks for the dealer to fix it and about 500 for a trans shop, I just had this done doing the same thing at RC.

Cool pics, sorry about the break-down though. I'm no fan of mud either.

I'm sorry to hear you broke your jeep - but why exactly did you engage your clutch in a mud pit? Why not just rev 'er up and and throw it into gear if you needed it in gear? Has nobody explained to you why you can't engage the clutch while submerged?

It seems this is happening with more frequency these days.
