Default Resources for California Trails?

We are planning a road trip from Denver through Lake Tahoe, Yosemite, Cayucos and back through Lassen Volcanic Nat'l Park. Can anyone recommend good websites for Jeep trails through Nevada and California? I use traildamage.com all the time for Colorado trails, but would love to research trails well in advance of my trip.

We'll be camping along the way so if anyone has campgrounds to recommend or trails not to be missed, please share! I especially enjoy trails that are scenic and not above a 5 rating and the kids love water crossings of any kind. Thanks in advance!

When I did my trip last summer I used a book called "Northern Guide To California Backroads & 4 wheel Drive Trails" by Charles A. Wells
Its a great book that has easy fun trails all the way up to hard core trails I purchased mine on Amazon. I liked the book so much
I went and purchased two more of his books. He also has a book for Colorado.

Try trails.com which has access to the guides by Massey, Wells and Huegel. They all display on a map of the state and I think all the U S is covered. There's a smartphone app as well

I think the "Backcountry Adventures" series also by Massey is the best around; there's books for NorCal and Socal, Arizona, Colorado, I'm not sure about Nevada.
