Talking Rubicon Trail June/5-8/2009

Spent 3 and half day on the Rubicon trail just over this pass weekend. The early season for the Rubicon is always tougher than usual, but we also encounter scatter showers in the first 2 days.

Norcal member mmccurdy mange to go from 4wd to 3wd then become 2wd the next day while 1/2 way through the trail. Then fallowed by many other body damages due to broken both driver side and passenger side axle shafts within 24 hrs period.

We've decided continue on to completing the entire Rubicon trail since we were 1/2 way through. We have combined many recovery methods to maneuver over many toughest obstacles of the trail for mmccurdy's 2wd jk. total about 38-45 times of winch usage. ( Too busy winching did not have time to take any pictures of the recoveries.)

Drivers:

MBATF w/ spotter Zach(Black JK)

Mmccurdy w/ wify Maria (Green JK)

BeepJeep (White JK)

Jeeperdude w/ son Jr.(Black JK)

Bent my slider downwards....

Sluice rock decided to give a kiss to Mmccurdy's rear

I blew the bead while serving as a winch anchor point...

Mike's 2nd breakage (driver side axle shaft)

Some of us decided to take a nap on both granite and the roof rack.

Sunday Night Camped at Rubicon Springs. And of course can't forget the fish sauce

I will have those Radio harness soon. And yes That is why we have them, so spotter no longer have to scream for 3-5 days, and easier communication to the last vehicle if you have like 15 vehicle on the trail.

Will have some different styles of the AEX stickers soon. btw those jackets are rocking as well
