They use some kind of hard alloy on the splice sections of the frame. Bitch to drill thru.

glad it was not just me. I was thinking it was going to be mild steel but it hard stuff. I have to say I really am liking the LoD sliders for a step. How they handle the rocks well. you sure you are not ready for a break from house building yet?

Had an excellent time. Glad we listened and went in from the George Town side and did not attempt to turn around and come back. It would have been a long 3 days. Gas tank skid was only thing that really scraped and pretty sure stock rubi rails would have been sufficient. We did take one bypass and that was on Little Sluice. We looked at it and thought about it but felt we would have needed to unpack all the extra weight and did not think it would be worth the hassle. It was very cool indeed. If I do it again I think I would like to run 37's just to keep gas tank off the rocks.

Glad you had a good time. I'm hoping 37's will give me the clearance I need as well.

Glad you had a good time, wish you would have looked me up as I would have liked to see your rig in person. Maybe another time.

I wanted to meet up but, the two other jeeps I was traveling with thought I was nuts when I told them I found a safe place to store our tops and doors at. Pretty sure there will be a next time as when my other jeeping buddies see the photos and no body damage, they will be chomping at the bit to get there. It really was the coolest jeeping I have done and should be on everybody's bucket list.

That's awesome! 2.5" and 35s handled it well?
