Default Sand Drag Canadian River

Here are a few pics from this weekend. Saturday wind sucked and was blowing sustained at around 40 all day. It was an awesome day of wheeling over all.

Enjoy

Yes sir, most fun I've had in a long time. Great company friends and plenty of cold beer. My wife and I camped in the back of my jeep, slept like a baby.

Usually this event has an awful name and people have quit going. This year the crowd was less than half of a normal year. Was a lot better and seemed to be far less of the drunk mouthy people this year. Usually there are around 15,000 ppl. I think it's the largest off road event in Texas.

Thanks.

I've lived here a few years and grew up an hour away from here. My jeep now looks a lot different than it did not long ago. I used to wheel a cj7 stretched on 40s coilovers and the last one was a YJ buggy on rocks and 49s. Now I have 2 little boys to haul around. So switched to a jku.
Miss this one......

All the crazy people from that jeep club, the outlaws. Heh. We used to drive up to the river when I lived in Lubbock for a while. One of those pics going down a STEEP narrow road looks like what we called widow maker. Steep drop off to the right when going down.

I like the big boulder one you have pictured. I took my old ZJ down it easy, but with no lockers, it would not make it up.

I've never had any desire to be affiliated with any redneck clubs here. Lots of bs goes on. We wheel alone with our ow. Group
