This is at the Paiute indian reservation at Pyramid Lake, Northern NevadaThere are a lot of spots, some with primative facilities and some without, some 4wd is required, sand very soft and beach's have white sand
Fires are a very touchy subject
Best call (775) 446-1155 (Pyramid Lake Ranger Station) for permits, costs and restrictions

I don't know if there are any Xterra owners viewing, but I got my "hatch tent" for my X and it also works, with adjustable alts, on my JK

Kodachrome Basin State Park, UT. We camped here while visiting nearby Bryce Canyon. Much less crowded and stunning scenery--you're surrounded by a ridge line except at one small opening through which the road passes. I especially like the rock tower in the photos up top--not quite certain, but it reminds me of something ...
