were those pics taken at the downhill bike course behind ETSU?

 

One more super newb question... when running disconnected on the trail with stock suspension do i need to secure the sway bars after they are disconnected? I have read threads where guys are zip tying them down, but in all those threads the guys had suspension lifts. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated!

 

Nope, they were snagged over by the jason's deli off state of franklin. Its an area that was under construction awhile ago but has since been abandoned for now. Only place I could think of to test out flex without driving on someone's private (no trespassing zone) property. I got bored on my way home from lunch

never heard that one on electric disconnects maybe on the quick disconnects that you pull the pins . but not 100% sure

 

Don't feel bad, I put a big log in the middle of my yard so that I could see my flex w/ my new lift.



I was thinking about going up buffalo tomorrow, but the 100% chance heavy rain, I think I'll stay home and work on my house. Hope you have fun at windrock this weekend.

Also, I don't think you'll have to worry about the sway bar links w/ the rubi's electronic disco. From what I understand, you just hit the switch on level ground and you're ready to rock.

for your question about securing the sway bars, you have a Rubicon. which means you have electronic disconnect. the bars stay attatched but there is a mechanism on the sway bar itself that goes across the front in there that un-locks (per say,) and that allows each side to flex differently, THIS is why you rubicon guys are supposed to push that disconnect button when you're on level ground so that the bar can lock into itself and behave nicely on the road when you are connecting them. this goes also for disconnecting too so there isn't as much stress on the sway bar
