Turkey Bay - First day of Spring ride
What an awesome day! We had about 50 Jeeps show up for the ride today. The guys from KY were great and did a good job of getting everyone grouped up and rolling. We divided up into 5 groups; our group was group 1 with 11 Jeeps guided by belltom who did a great job. We hit several trails including Rocky Top, White Rock Hills, Butt Pucker, Dog Leg, Under Tree Playground, Gauntlet, Rocky Road and some others that I don’t remember. We did have some damage with all the fun we were having.
Damage list for group 1
Front ring and pinion, plastic Sahara side rails, passenger side mirror, bent lower control arm bracket, busted front u joint and last but certainly not least Denise's rear drive shaft.
Thankfully I came out with no damage and the JK did great once again.

Makes me wanna cry.. I wanted to come so bad. Hopefully we can make this an annual or bi-annual event. I love turkey Bay. One of my favorite places to ride. Can't wait to see some more pics.

Turkey Bay was the first off-road ride for the wife and I and the great folks in our group made sure we had a blast, and even got us out of some tough spots a couple times!! And all that went wrong was a little battle damage to a step rail. We'll show the scars proudly! ha
Special shout-out to Hammerhead for organizing this event and our fearless trail-guide for ensuring we saw some of the best trails (if only a fraction of them).
You all made us feel welcome right from the start we can hardly wait until the next event. It is all we've talked about to our family and friends today!!
My pics from the ride are in a new photo album I put together, also.
