Video - Stand CLEAR: or get taken out !
Really ?
Ok,
first: Tow straps are not made to be used as sling-shots. After you hook up both vehicles, SLOWLY take the slack out of the strap, and then begin your pull. If a small tug is nessary, it's best to just let enough slack in the strap as to let it lay on the ground.......
Second: Never let anyone stand near or next to a strap or winch cable. When they do let loose or break they can be lethal. If winching always use a cable blanket, always. Some people even use a cable blanket on tow straps.
Third: Make certain your hook up points are solid. Don't pull from a suspenion point, like spring shackle, axle housing, drag link, or track bar.
By the looks of this pull they should have used a winch with a snach block. If there was one around.......

Trust me, Their is not a Snatch Strap on the market made to be used like the one in this video, no matter what the rating.
No strap manufacturer would tell you to let 5 to 8 foot of slack out of you strap and go like Hell...........
People need to learn how to use recovery equipment correctly befor they or someone else is seriously hurt...........

The strap didn't give, the bumper gave....are you saying that the metal can't take the yank or that the strap can't take the yank? It seems a busted strap isn't going to cause any damage so long as there is no one in line with it.....not arguing, honestly trying to learn.
