To anybody still subscribed to this thread...... I will be planning another run for the end of Feb beginning of March again. I started a new thread in the East Coast section titled simply "Wharton state forest" cmon over there and let's plan another fun trip!

Was just out there today. It's ALL dried up. Even the mud pit was bone dry.... Summer dried it all up.... Some good cold weather and winter precipitation will do the trick!
Plus it gives me time to prepare
