15" Tire & Wheel Set-up
I have a 2015 JK with 295 x 75 x 16's, and would like to change to a 35 x 12.50 x 15 set-up. I like the look of a wider sidewall. This is my DD, and it is 90% highway. I would like a good looking tire with good tread life, what would you recommend? Thanks!!!
I'm running 35x12.50r15 Cooper STT pro on 15x10 black rock wheels. I am very happy with the ride/noise level for a daily driver (They do make some noise, but so do all the MT tires I've had.) With the soft top, tires etc I can still easily hold a conversation with the factory Uconnect.
I cannot comment on wear, as I've only had them for 3k miles

Im running 15inch D windows i got from JEGS wrapped in 35 1250 15BFG KM2's. they last forever and i never have problems with them. I have run Pro comp's, super swampers and Mickey T's. they all wear like shit. i will never go with anything but bfg's from now on.
The wheel diameter makes no difference in tread life. Call up discount tire direct or visit their site and pick out a combination that works for you. They do offer a $100 discount to forum members, or they used to, and they give the same discount if you're a member of TL.
Bfg's last a while but I don't think they're the end all, be all tire. That's an opinion, like the one above mine. I got better life out of my Mickey tires than I did out of the bfg mud tire.
It's all aesthetics and folks will defend their purchase until the day they try something different because they don't like to admit a bandwagon choice on tires. Be different, try something outside of the box and just check the tire warranty to make sure it's expected to live as long as you plan on keeping them. I only keep tires for 45k miles (2 years or less) so I've tried a little of everything.
