Anybody ever seen the 8" wide euro jeep wheels available in North America? Wanted to try and get my hands on a set for my pending upgrade to 35" tires as they specify 8-9.5" rims. Why Jeep never made one rim for the world beats the hell out of me.

I can only guess that there is some regulation overseas related to wheel/tire specs that force them to have an 8" wide wheel, but that that extra width/weight made a hairline difference in fuel economy and costs that it was not used here in North America. That's just my guess though. All those fractions of a penny in cost adds up. . I've seen many people run a 35x12.5 on the factory wheels regardless. I currently run 37x12.5s on my trailer just the same....though I know that it not getting the same offroad workout that your jeep will be seeing. Presume you just really fancy the factory look vs any of the aftermarket options out there.

Quadratec sells several OE copy wheels 17x8.5 that have 5.2" backspacing (no spacers needed for many setups) I run a set with 33-11.50 on stock suspension height with no rubbing. Might be worth looking into.

You've told us absolutely nothing about your jeep. Zero, zilch, nada. Right now I could say you can put something that is round, black and made of rubber on there. Lift, wheel size and backspacing are values that are necessary to know. We can try this exercise to prove my point. I have a 2013.....see if you can find out what the largest tire is I can put on is.

Your factory Sahara wheel has a 6.25" backspacing, and that more than factory ride height is your limiting factor in tire size (clearance issues turning lock to lock). You should be able to fit right around a 275/70R18 which is ~33" compared to your current 32" tire. In order to run something that is a little wider of a tire you'd need to change to an aftermarket wheel or run a 1.5" wheel adapter which would lower your backspacing to ~4.75".
