Default Great Idea

I love this idea. From everything that I have read, the cold air intake does not make a great difference in the performance of our engines to justify a $300.00 investment. I would gladly spend $50.00 for a cold air intake for the small performance gain. It is people like you that make me proud to be a Jeep Wrangler Owner. Thanks!!!!

I picked up all the parts to do this mod at Autozone today. I will construct the intake box from sheet metal. I will take pictures and do a step by step writeup with part numbers.

I haven't gotten my Jk yet...Built at least..so I don't know how much room but I made a heat shield out a Black rubbermaid wastepaper can for my Mustang then used a door gasket to trim it off so it seals against the hood. Turned out pretty good most people think it was made for it and took a whole 10 bucks.

Nice, took me a while to figure out you were talking about a rectangular trash can :P Good idea it looks really good. If I try it out I'll send out the dimensions.

This weekend looks busy for me!
