Will this void the engine warranty?

 

Quick questions, just finished this mod and the flashing boot is sweet.

1) Did you secure the boot/pipe to the car at all (mine is sturdy but I'd like to anchor it)

2) Dumb question but doesn't a metal pipe conduct the heat? I got a civic intake with a metal pipe but not sure that was the best idea (going to coat it with truck liner).
