7 pin trailer connector
Ran the MOPAR 7 pin connector for my popup and hooked up a Takonsha P3 brake controller. It was all much easier than I thought it was going to be. Only issue I had/have is the right side trailer lights are not working, but I will have to just switch the connector in the drivers side tail light from the top connector to the bottom. Ran out of energy, time, and daylight to bother with it tonight. I will switch it tomorrow and test it again. I will also take pictures of e brake controller installed.

I did the exact same thing with the exact same setup and had the same problem with my right side trailer lights not working. i think there is a problem with the MOPAR 7 pin harness. i already had it ran and wired up so I didn't want to remove it and get it exchanged. I ended up using the existing 4 pin right side signal from the OEM tow package to power the right side of the 7 pin harness.

I read another forum post that if you hook the mopar harness to the bottom connector of the tail light instead of the top that it works fine on right and left side. I haven't been able to test the theory yet, but I will later on today.

Everything working great! Hooked the Mopar harness to the bottom connector on the tail light and left and right sides work perfect.
Here is the brake controller I put it. A Tekonsha P3. Fits well and is the best on the market with a digital accelerometer instead of a pendulum. Got it installed in a great place where it isn't in the way, I can see it and I can activate the manual brakes if need be.

I have the Mopar 7 pin on mine since 2007. never had an issue...
Till I dropped off White Knuckle last week at EJS. Now its smashed to shit and needs replacing before I pull my trailer.
The rest of the Jeep is good though.

I didn't really have a problem. I had a 50/50 chance when I hooked it up to the tail light. Top connector or bottom one. I first chose the top and that didn't let the passenger side light up. So I switched it and now it's all good.
I can't wait to get my popup to hook up to it. It's in the factory getting built right now. Should have it in a few weeks.
