Baseball Shift Knob

Ok this may sound stupid... But I was going to put an aftermarket Knob on, but cant get the factory one off. How do you get the factory one off?

put an adjustable wrench on the shaft beneath the knob (I used a rag in between to prevent dinging the shaft) and wack the wrench with a hammer. Pops right off, make sure your heads not in the way, my knob ended up in the back seat.

Great idea! I'm a huge baseball fan and thought about doing this. Great way to save some money from the stupid expensive aftermarket baseball.

question 1- Does anyone know IF this could be made to work with an auto? and how so?

Question 2- Would this work the same in my 93 thats a stick?

I don't know if there is any way to do with an auto because of the button, but you can jam a baseball with a hole in it on just about anything including your 93.
