Baseball Shift Knob

Take a small flat head and slide down on the trim piece below the shift knob and it will have a set screw- remove said set screw and it comes right off

Default Golf Ball Shift Knob
I did this also, but with a golf ball. Works really well!

I would also love to know how to get around that button! Not a baseball fan, but I have a dummy grenade that's been screaming shift-knob at me for a while.
