Ya mine usually comes to a halt when winter hits like this.....wrenching on your Jeep in -13 C sucks. That is why I have to wait until spring to do my hood hinges.

The "glue" you referred to is actually sealant which is used whenever metal body components are mated by bolting or spot welding.
Without sounding critical I would do the same job with a couple of things included.

(A) When replacing the hinges on the body,re-apply additional body sealant.

Just a cabinet type. Took the paint right down to the aluminum.

So after doing the door hinges and the hood hinges, could you do the tailgate hinges? I am not looking at mine right now so this might be a dumb question.

I imagine you could yes, but IMO the hinges look wierd without the plastic covers.
