Point to note on this mod guys. I removed my doors for the first time since doing this mod. Over the winder my lower hinge (not on the door, the half on the body) had come loose. I assume from being opened and closed all winter. maybe two turns but enough for the hing to move while I was taking the door off.

I would suggest anyone doing this, that you take some Loctite to the bolts when replacing them.

Other than that, the hinges and bedliner held up nice all winter.

If the hinges are aluminum, then what's causing the bubbling paint? I didn't think oxidized aluminum caused that

I may have missed it, but have you done the hood hinges yet? They don't appear to come off as easily as the door hinges. The ones on the hood don't look like they have bolts, but are some sort of pin.

I am curious if anyone has considered doing the windshield hinge, plus the strip under the windshield.

There are only a few places loose rocks hit my jeep. Under the windshield, the door hinges, and the flares.

Someone on here pointed out that it seems like Sahara owners want to go with black flares, where X and Rubs want painted... in my case it's because my painted flares have a cheese grater texture to them from all the rocks.

Not quite warm enough for me to start the hood. Do a search for Rocksniper on here, he has done his hood hinges. They arent hard to get off.

Good luck and post some pics

Those look great. What brand of bedliner did you use? I'd like to do the same on my Sahara.

I have used the Duplicolor stuff (on my bumper and door sills, see sig), but Walmart didnt have any when I went to do this project so I went with this stuff called EZ Liner from a place here in Canada called Canadian Tire (I have no idea where you would get it down there) I actually prefer the finish of this stuff over Duplicolor. Regardless of what you use though, shake the shit out of the cans before you spray with it.
