Default Bumping Noise Left Side

When I go over a bump in my 4 dr 2012 it sounds like a door on the left twice is loose. When I park and shake the doors they seem solid. I jump on the side rails and everything sounds and feels fine. This is driving me nuts. The dealer doesn't have a clue (duh).

I meant the left side. Anyone experience this before?

I've got the same thing and I can't duplicate it parked. It only happens over bumps. I've checked the alignment of all the doors and tailgate. The hard top is secure. I did have a loose left rear shock mount. That helped some. Keep me posted if you figure it out.

I had the same issue with my door. I brought it to my dealership and they fixed it. They said that it had to do with the locks in the door or something like that and it needed to be greased. The problem has since came back, but from my understanding that is what it is.

Yeah, it only happens for me on the left side. It happens only on bumps with my hard top on or my Trek top. The only time it doesn't happen( or I just don't notice it) is when the doors are off. I think I will try and narrow it down as to which left door by taking the front one off and see if it still happens. Then take the back off and put the front back on and try again. It is really hard to tell which door when I am driving. Someone told me one of the window motors might be loose.

Give this a try:
Put some plastic electrical tape on the striker. I had clunking doors and this has kept them quiet for years.

Solved it. The tape did the trick. All this time I could have sworn it was coming from either the tailgate or the rear of the Jeep and it turned out to be the left rear door. Thanks!

Tape seems to work. Gonna give it another day or two.
