Bushwacker Flat Flares - [my] Changes to Instructions
I have busted four of plastic push retainers and 5/16 hex bolts and nylock nuts - I had to twist 2 of them. I do not know why so I had to gone to local ACE hardware new bolts and able to find plastic push retainers at auto store. However overall I am happy with mine. Will picture of my jeep tomorrow.
The rear fenders went on with no issues. But my front fenders look like absolute shit. The passenger side doesnt fit well by the grill and the drivers side starts to gap from the middle of the fender and goes all the way to the front by the grill.
I called bushwacker about this issue as well as being shorted a few blots and clips in my mounting kit and they said they would call me back.
Still waiting on that call.
I also broke a few bolts and clips, but had plenty to spare since they sent me an entire new mounting kit instead of 3 bolts and 2 clips.

I still have no replacement push retainers -- I submitted a service request via their website's form and have not heard anything back in 3 days -- so I found some online that measured exactly the same, and those will be here on Monday.
So I just took pics of one side of my rig
One thing I've noticed, it makes my 35 inch tires on 16 inch rims look puny.

Bushwacker got back to me yesterday on my inquiry about broken parts in the install hardware kit and they definitely took care of me. They were sincerely apologetic that it took so long and truly made the situation right.
As it's been a few weeks since I've had them installed and I've gone wheeling in mud and also driven a few hundred miles at highway (75mph) speeds, and I've taken it to the (manual) car wash twice, I have to say they are still very solid and are not going anywhere. No long term installation issues to speak of. They also clean up easier than the stock flares, especially underneath.
Definitely a recommended buy from me.

Okay, so I finally opened the instructions as a friend and I are installing mine on sat. What are people doing about the recomended NOT driving for 24 hours. Did you drive? Did you not drive? Very curious folks, let me know. I was planning on going to his house with his garage, all of his tools and his lift. Figured getting the Jk at eye level would make life so much easier getting things off and on.
Cant wait to get them on.
