CB Antenna storage
I don't like leaving my antenna mounted all the time, figure I'm just asking someone to mess with it. Paranoid? Maybe... I also didnt like it rattling around in the back, waiting to be bent, broken or mauled. So necessity being the mother of invention, I searched for a solution. There is just the right amount of space across the back of the hardtop over the rear glass to accommodate a four foot firestick with quick disconnect (which surprisingly is exactly what I have). Two self stick felt pads and two 3M cable organizers later and the antenna is securely tucked away. Installed for a month and it's still there, so I'm happy with it!

Where did you get those clips? Price? Nice mod. My 4 foot diesel antenna wot fit in my garage and I have to get out every night and tie it down to my trailer hitch to back the jeep in. PITA!! Really like your idea!
Lowes had them. They are made by 3M and were in the ailse with all the electrical cord organization stuff. I also scoped out a few other type of cord/cable organizers that would work as well, many choices. This one fit my antenna perfectly. Price was only $3-4 for a pack of 6 with adhesive backs.

Excellent idea! I have mine tied across the rear rollbars with two small bungee cords. Works great if you don't mind staring at it in the mirror. I think I'll try your idea, at least for hard top season.

Went with basically the same idea (I stole the idea from Toad on this forum) Unfortunately, in the summer heat the adhesive was not up to the task on the clips. So, I went heavy duty velcro (home depot I believe) and it has been good for over a year now. Just leave the wrapper on the side facing you, so there is no sticky mess to touch. Simple, and effective!
