That is one of the coolest things that I've seen someone come up with.

Default Just made mine!

Hey yall, I followed the basic design of this one but had to kinda improvise on the dimesions... I posted what I did as best as i could... came out great... the only problem is it is impossible to fold up the rear seat with the trunk in place... other than that it creates a great piece of mind!

I then painted it with water sealer...

I then carpeted it it with in/outdoor carpet form Lowes

thanks yall... it really did come out better than i expected!
I forgot to include the dimensions i used
the top piece we started with was 62 1/4 long by 11 deep
the cut for the roll cage was in the picture but i t was 2 1/2 wide and 2 1/4 deep but i rounded it instead of straight cuts as pictured
and finally the piece that mounts vs the seat is 43 wide and 17 tall (on this piece i rounded out the two bottom corners to make room for the humps on each of the bottom sides)
my total cost was
$19 for the plywood (this is enough for 2 so find a buddy!)
$9 worth of carpet
$4 worth of slide bolts
and $4 worth of hinges
$37 total
I had staples for the carpet and had the wood sealer

Default Wood dust cover?

Has anyone seen a 2dr DIY trunk/dustcover with the back seat removed? I think that would be cool, covering the entire back area of the 2 door.

Default 2dr dust cover

It's funny you say that. I was just thinking of making one this spring for my 2 dr. Not sure if I will use plywood and vinyl or maybe a fiberglass one.
