Thumbs up

First off I would like to say thank you so much for saving me money! I do have one recommendation though I found the 30" was a little too big and cut it down the width of the 2x4 (3.5") to make it 26.5" wide. This now allows the top to sit on the hinges and bottom of the top. I find it to be a little more sturdy. But once again thank you so much!

Hey WilKJ - still got that cart? I was planning on making one this weekend, but if it's still available I'll gladly take it off your hands

Finally got this done. I did however use two of the recommendations, using 2 stacked 6" blocks and cut the width down to 26.5" and it worked out great!

Default Question...

I was about to build this over the weekend, but before I do...

As this post is from 2009, are the plans for this still current for a 2013 hard top. Please excuse my ignorance on the topic, but I don't want to waste my time and money if this won't work. It seems that the rear supports would hit the hinges of the top of the rear window. I'm don't want to break the window or bend the hinges. Am I correct or just worrying about nothing?

Not sure why it wouldn't, but for those who are curious; this worked on my 2015 2 door.

Thanks for posting the plans! It worked out great, was able to build it with mostly stuff I had on-hand. It's nice and secure, and WAY cheaper than the racks from Q-tech.
