haha I've tried it, they dont notice though. Last weak this guy and I made eye contact on the opposite sides of a small highway (but it had lights so I was kinda slow) and I waved and he waved haha it was awesome.

hahaha... looks like a crime scene. "Here is where the Jeep wave died chief".
I came across a website about Jeep waves (google: Jeep Wave) that categorizes the whole thing and basically makes something very simple (wave at fellow Jeeps) very difficult.

Driving down Beach Road on Jupiter Island this past weekend, I waved at seven Jeeps and one Hummer. I got six Jeep waves back (and even one from the Hummer). The seventh Jeep had windows so darkly tinted that I couldn't see the driver so he/she may have waved back. Our wave culture down here is mostly motorcycles and we bikers always wave at each other regardless of brand or vehicle type.

Waved at a guy in a modded TJ this morning with no response. I gave him the 'what's up with that' gesture and he sheepishly waved back. I think he didn't like my JK Sahara (even with the top off).

I waved at four jeeps this morning on the way to work. I have to say, its a bit annoying when there are so many jeeps in the area to feel obligated about it. The guy behind me following me for 20 minutes is also probably thinking I'm odd or something too, waving and such. I think there's a time to wave, and a time to just commute. Its only a laid back gesture, if it can be done without stressing about it, IMO.
